Pilates lessons for every body


Join me for a Pilates lesson and start to improve your strength and flexibility. Whether you’re looking for an antidote to sitting at your desk, want to age well, improve your performance in sport, recover from pain, or just enjoy moving, Pilates is for you.

I teach 20-somethings and 80-somethings and all ages in between, men and women. Whoever you are, you will be welcome.

Pilates takes its name from its founder Joseph Pilates, who originally called his revolutionary approach ‘Contrology’. Your lessons will build your strength and mobility through a series of exercises on the mat, or using studio equipment.

    Most people love working on the studio machines from their very first session. The reformer is the heart of the Pilates studio. Working on a moving carriage with spring tension resistance - you will love feeling your body become stronger week by week. Similar to the reformer, but smaller, I also have the Pilates chair and a wall tower, as well as smaller equipment to exercise everything from your feet to your spine.

    The equipment is very adaptable and therefore suitable for all ages and bodies.

    I also teach mat exercises, and can work with you to build a programme of exercises to do at home.

    £50 for a one-hour lesson at my home studio in Haddenham

    Please note there is a 24 hr cancellation period for private lessons

About Helen

After loving doing Pilates for many years, I trained at the Body Control Pilates studio in London, qualifying in 2016, and I’ve been teaching ever since. Pilates keeps me flexible and strong, and I have a real passion for teaching its benefits to anyone interested in learning. Body Control Pilates is one of the world’s most respected Pilates organisations, and since my original training, I continue to learn new skills on a regular basis as part of my continuing professional development. I am qualified to teach all studio equipment, and have specialist qualifications in bone health (osteoporosis), pre & post natal and hypermobility.
